For children, cooking is a very fun activity, especially if we make meals or desserts in which they can handle the ingredients and shape them. So you are cocadas they will become one of the star desserts at home.
Some simple coconut balls for which you only need three ingredients, this recipe for children can be prepared by children of all ages, always with an adult to watch the oven. Enjoy this juicy snack with your children.
- 250 gr. grated coconut
- 250 gr. of sugar
- 3 eggs
Tips: As the recipe requires resting time, you can prepare the dough in advance or plan an activity to do together while you wait.
1. Beat the eggs well.
2. Add the grated coconut and mix well.
3. Add the sugar and form a dough, mixing with your hands. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for at least two hours.
4. Preheat the oven to 180º. Take portions of the dough and make balls by shaping it with your hands, you can let the children do it. Knead until compact and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Bake at 180º for about 10 minutes, until golden brown. If they brown very quickly you can put the oven only underneath until the time is up, or cover them with aluminum foil. Take out and let cool. To top it off you can pour a little icing sugar over them.
